I’m an Italian correspondent and I have been covering Central and South America for over 25 years and that is why I’m often here in Miami. I have tried Pizza Gol and I can say that the place has an unique decoration for a pizza place. Very pleasing! Later I found out that it was decorated by an Italian artist, Leo, who is the brother of the owner (Roberto). Roberto is very courteous, always present because also works as the manager. They are all big soccer fans. Hence the name GOL! They are all authentic Italians, just as the quality and flavors of the menu. As explained by the “pizzaiolo” (Mirko), an Italian from Tuscany, the quality of the wood-fired pizza is the result of numerous tests with different flours partially imported from Italy. This is the reason I would say that this is probably the best pizza I’ve ever tried in Miami. Lightweight, non-fatty, with fresh ingredients. My wife tried other dishes like pappardelle with “porcini mushrooms” and risotto with seafood. DELICIOUS! I found out that also the chef, Mr. Gioacchino, is Italian! This is really hard to find: a 100% real Italian pizza restaurant! Prices are well below the average of the Miami Beach places. The manager promised that new main courses on the menu are coming soon. Too bad they are not open 24/7! A complain? You notice they have opened aprox three weeks ago. You will need to be patience with the waiters.
